Having spent a 1/4 century as a flying instructor, I never cease to be amazed at how few people REALLY know how to read a map!
I'd fly them mapless only (say) 20 minutes from home field, twisting and turning a few times, with maybe the odd roll or loop thrown in to liven things up if they're too cocky, then hand them the map and say "Take us home please".
I swear to god, I must have had a lot of 2nd Lt. student pilots !!!

STN - nice to see you back and I hadn't thought about that.
Brom - you don't think we trust them with weapons do you?
FJL - they get us lost.

Stu - quite possibly although you're braver than me if you let any of them take the controls.
